When I was flying
A hot air balloon
I was often asked
If I would take up
A parachutist…
I declined, for safety’s sake
But also by my bias…
I can’t understand
Wanting to jump out of
A perfectly good aircraft

Until 9/11, I liked flying to faraway places. Now it’s a hassle. My flying for 28 years was in a hot air balloon…something I greatly enjoyed until I no longer did.
